[edit]Hi Malika, I had a great time learning about Data Shadows and attached my review below.
What does the article do well? Is there anything from your review that impressed you? Any turn of phrase that described the subject in a clear way? Having your topic bolded in the first section is great! A lot of people missed this when doing their articles. You included a lot of citations for the first paragraph which is really good. You do not use a pervasive tone which is really good as well.
What changes would you suggest the author apply to the article? Why would those changes be an improvement?
The article just needs more information. I think it would be really cool to look at encrypted VPN severs and their data shadows. Purchasing fake VPNS has become very popular and it would be cool to look at how that interferes with regular information being left behind from normal IP addresses and where this data ends up being stored.
Suggestions to include: Where is the data from data shadows stored? Who controls the surveillance that tracks and controls this? Can these trails of data be traced back to users? Are users able to track these trails? How do organizations track this data/store it?
What's the most important thing the author could do to improve the article?
I would just make sure you include more information, I would even add an image if you can. The first sentence is a little unclear as well so I would reword it.

[edit]Hi Malvika, Your article is off to a good start! All the headings/sub-topics you have chosen are relevant to your main topic, data shadows. The very first sentence of your opening paragraph sounded a little bit off to me so you may consider re-wording it to make it clearer to your readers. Also, there are a couple lines which are missing citations which is probably just because this is a draft, but remember, your sandbox is visible to anyone. It is very well written so far. One thing that might be interesting to include is some of the concerns that come with data shadows, particularly privacy concerns, as you have briefly mentioned. And maybe something about how data shadows are created in the first place, as this would help me and other readers to have a better understanding of what this concept is.
Keep up the good work!
Notes
[edit]Malaikarebello, this is a good start to the article, however you need more sourcing to show how this topic is independently notable from other, similar topics. The article also needs to be fleshed out more to give more of an understanding of the topic and how the various elements pertain to data shadows. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:09, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
